Review of ‘Draft for Consultation’ Energy, Telecommunications, & Heritage

Energy Tele Heritage Cover ImageThe Municipality of Kings continues to review the ‘Draft for Consultation’ Municipal Planning Strategy in bite size pieces.  Councillors and Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) members together with Municipal Staff will review key topics in an informal workshop type meeting. While the discussions will help to provide informal direction, no formal decisions will be made.

The next workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24th at 1:00 pm in the Council Chambers (municipal complex, 87 Cornwallis St., Kentville).

There are three topics for discussion. “Energy” includes a discussion of solar collectors, wind turbines, and other energy technologies. “Telecommunications” includes a discussion of cell phone towers and other radio antennas. “Heritage” includes a discussion of heritage buildings and heritage districts.

These meetings are open to the public and public comments will be welcomed at the end of the meeting. See the PDFs below for more information.
